The Saboteur [4] Empty The Saboteur [4]

In short:
-Climbing and land movement like assassins creed
-Driving & free roaming like GTA
-Shooting and blowing up nazi's and stuff
-Race game elements
-Collect all cars as extra free roam goal
-Destroy all nazi targets as free roam goal
-Achievements to unlock abilities
All mixed together flawlessly with nice graphics!

In long:
GTA is not my type of game, assassins creed got kinda dull eventually, but this game, is absolutely addicting and fun! I'm the explorer and achiever type of player, so this is absolutely perfect. The game is set in paris, at the beginning of world war 2. A well told story explains your involvement and you become part of the resistance. The game guides the player through the story with a nice variety of missions; containing assassination, destruction targets, exploration, thievery, racing and delivery assignments. As the player you can walk through the streets and blow up nazi targets, steal a car to get there faster. Try to sneak out unseen, because when the alarm is sound all nazi's in the area will come after you to get you and you have to escape driving really fast.

Elements such as disguises, zones where you're not allowed to be without one, recognizability from nearby, suspicion when you walk around armed or are climbing buildings make it harder for you to move through the world, and challenging to stealthily clear the city of the german threat. Only disadvantadges of the game are the lack of an easily accessible world map, some lacking car physics that make you stop at almost everything you hit instead of just slow down and slide across properly, and the loading times that can be terribly annoying.

Though overall I truly recommend this game for Xbox360 or PC. Xbox 360 is a bit more easing in control but mouseaim on PC is truly a plus; or perhaps a minus 'cause it can make the normal-mode of the game quite easy.

A nice graphical touch is the fact that the german side of the world is gray, clouded, often full of rain, with big red nazi logos. As you claim back your territory with the resistance the sky gets blue, the colours return to the world. Note this red VS blue element Wink

Sounds to me like a kind of Hitman: Blood Money in a WWII setting and a big free roaming area...! Is that so?

It's a tad more accessible than hitman, and the hitman part of gameplay is a mere 50% of the game instead of all of it Razz
