Haha xD Well its often compared with Oblivion, so i cant wait. Oblivion has an open world where u can do w/e u like, but Dragon Age has a great storyline and a party thats adventuring with you. But some people find Oblivion's gameplay way better..
Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Yeah, give us some feedback. You've probably been playing this full time anyway!

As far as I've seen, although I haven't actually played it myself, it's alot of management and dull clickign buttons. The gameplay is no different of that of Eve Online just the visuals and possibilities change but it's the same principle and genre; a genre I don't particularly like myself. You're basically looking at the health bars of your team, as well as the cooldown of your abilities, and when your health gets low you press pause, which is a feature you need to click a thousand buttons and use all your skills, unpause, everyone performs their actions and keeps fighting and you get back into pause when either a new ability is available (cooled down) or you need to heal some party member again.
So here you have this fancy looking 3D world which you'll look at while walking around, but when fighting enemies your focus completely skips it. You don't even look at it to check your enemies health, because the only tactical decisions you can base on that is the speed what with you kill it, but there's no option to retreat (and the story forces you through the fights so there's no avoiding it even if you could run away when dying), so in the end the health bar of the enemy is useless information. You just keep pounding and it'll die eventually, until then you heal and click skills. Because the game kills you too fast there's this pause option so you can enable all your skills (as I mentioned before) making it more functional as a turn based game in which you just have time to make your decisions.
